The company was established in 2002 by Danny Wilson. Before starting Lion’s Roar, Danny was a drummer with a passionate curiosity for audio and how it fits together. After running the sound at his church for many years, he decided to join Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and mixed audio for the weekly telecast for 8 years. During this time he also mixed the audio for the Swaggart’s home church in Baton Rouge, Family Worship Center, and assisted in the recording and mixing of several albums.

In 1996, Danny left the Ministry and went to work for Swaggart’s former road manager, Rick Motter, who had bought the sound and lighting gear for his own company, Crusade Productions. While working for Rick, Danny worked on productions and festivals, installations for church systems, and background music for retail and restaurants.

After gaining great experience working with Crusade Productions and witnessing the poor quality of other company’s installations, Danny felt God was leading him to start his own business. This inspired Danny to take a leap of faith and start Lion’s Roar Church Audio.

Since starting the new company, Danny has been focused on a simple mission: provide high-quality, well-planned audio, video, and lighting solutions for churches, schools, and businesses.
